Hello everyone!! Welcome to the ECD blog. This is Anita here !! Masculine cards always make me think hard and most of the times , I am struggling with my elements to create a proper masculine card. Elizabeth Craft Designs has some most beautiful dies that can be transformed with simple colouring to make lovely male themed cards. I have a very elegant masculine card today . I have used several layers to build my card and have used the new Distress Oxide inks to colour the feathers. So here is my card.
To make this card, make all the layers for the card as shown below.
For the main card front, cut a rectangle die cut from striped pattern paper. Layer it on a grey card stock leaving a little border on all sides. Then adhere this layer on another black card stock leaving 1/4 inch border all around.
The circle layer is cut from Rose Pocket die in black card stock and then cut with stitched circle die. Cut a frame using two stitched circle dies and adhere on the layer creating a framed circle layer.
For the Fishtail die cut layer, use a stitched fishtail banner in black. Create a second mat layer with pattern paper using another stitched fish tail banner.
Cut three feathers in white card stock and colour with Vintage photo and Walnut stain distress oxide inks. Colour the edges with black ink. Add white dots using white gesso.
Cut a small rectangle from Dotted scalloped rectangle and stamp a sentiment from Dream sentiment set.
Adhere all the layers together. Cut a card base that measures 5.25 " by 6 ". Adhere this finished layer on the card front. Add a jute twine and some enamel dots to finish the card.
