ALTENEW DAY !!!! WITH FLORAL CARD

Hello ,

Have you ever tried water colouring to de-stress yourself!! Believe me !!! it's one of the best methods to see all the tiredness and tension disappear making you feel refreshed and light . It really works for me especially when I sit with my Altenew stamps. I call them my stress busters.
Today, I have a pretty floral card ( Altenew has most beautiful floral stamps) with the colour palette based on this picture inspiration from Altenew May Inspiration Challenge. A very challenging colour scheme, I must say, but then I love facing challenges. After days of thoughts and ideas , I came up with this card with just simple watercolours using my favourite stamp- Beautiful Lady and the sentiment is from the stamp-Beautiful Day.

                                                          Here is the picture inspiration

ALTENEW INSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGE AND A VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hello friends !!!!

I am back again with my most favourite brand and this time I have something unique for you with these stamps. We all have been using Altenew stamps for stamping and coloring images but have you ever thought that these stamps can also be used to create beautiful 3D flowers. Yes!!! you heard me right. I have used the Altenew Wild Hibiscus stamp to make 3D flowers and they look so beautiful that you can use them on a variety of projects.
I have followed the theme from the March Inspirational Challenge picture. The flowers display the colours while the lace gives the effect of green maze in the background.
Not only this, I went a step further to show you how I made these gorgeous blooms through a video tutorial. So do watch this video and get inspired.

 A video tutorial

I hope I have been able to describe well the complete method of making these flowers. They can be made in many colours. So do try them and also share your work. Thanks for stopping by and watching this video.

ALTENEW MARCH CHALLENGE WITH MAGNOLIA

Hello friends,

Spring is here in India.. it is quite warm although but still the weather is quite nice. This is the time of the year when lot of festivities go on and I love the meeting, fun and entertainment.
I am so relieved today as now , I am free to take part in all the celebrations.
So here I am showing my first de-stress card. I call all my Altenew cards as DE-STRESS cards as they really release all my tension and stress and perk my falling mood.

Here I am playing along the March Challenge and for this card, I have tried to maintain the theme of the inspiration picture. I have given the look of a maze using the Tonic die and have created drooping magnolia branches along with tiny floral sprays from the Beautiful Day stamp set. I like combining more than two stamp sets together and it gives a lot of character to my cards.
I have painted the Magnolias with Zig brush pens on Brustro water colour paper and then cut them out.
I used the Tonic die to cut out a semi circle and then also cut out the two corners. Then, I distressed it with Mowed lawn and Peeled Paint Distress inks and spritzed some water on top. I stamped the floral spray image from the Beautiful Day Stamp set in Aged Mahogany and coloured with Zig markers.
The Magnolias are coloured by the no line colouring method.

So here is the card with the inspiration picture.

BLUE MAGNOLIAS WITH ALTENEW

Hello dear friends,

I would like to share with you a new card made with my favourite Altenew stamps and here I am using the most beautiful. Magnolias .
Watercolouring Altenew stamps is actually a pleasure and I totally feel stressfree.

I have followed the theme given on the Altenew blog to make my card. I decided to include lines that form a vital part of the picture . Along with this, the highlight is on the three colours and focus on the main blue colour via the magnolia flowers.
I have used the leaves from the Beautiful day stamp set to add depth to my card

HAPPY THOUGHTS

Hi friends,

I have been blogging after almost a month as I was down with horrible viral fever and was away from my crafting table. Now I am back into action and as a therapy to get my mojo back, I created this card with my favourite Altenew stamp. I heat embossed the stamped image with white embossing powder and used copic markers to colour them.
This is the inspiration for the current challenge and I hope my card does justice to this.

Here is my card.

Stamps used are Altenew Magnolia stamp.

Stay tuned for more cards.
