New Challenge at Altenew


I am super excited to participate in the April 2020 challenge by Altenew.

The inspiration picture is so beautiful that I was tempted to make this no line water colouring card from the stamp set spring Daisy.

I used Altenew water colours to colour this stamped image.

Wednesday Inspiration from Heartfelt Creations

Hi friends,

Last week saw the release of awesome ornate dies from Heartfelt Creations. The Majestic frames dies are perfect for cards and give a royal elegance to the projects.

I made a card using this collection last week. 

Today I have used the Majestic Ovals frame to create a card. I have used pretty pink roses to make them look very beautiful.

Instructions: This is a 5 x 7” shaped card. To make the card base, fold a piece of white card stock in half and cut it a little bigger than the mat die from the Elaborate oval frame die set. Place the die on the folded piece so that the top edge is outside the fold. Cut in the die cutting machine. Cut another piece using the whole mat die in Luxe gold paper. Adhere this on the folded mat layer. Cut two elaborate frame oval die cut in white card stock. Adhere two pieces together. And adhere on the gold mat layer. Cut the inner die cut in gold and add to the frame.

Stamp the sentiment on the inner most die cut and add to the frame.

Stamp many images of the small wild rose on deluxe flower shaping paper with pink peony archival ink and the smaller flower in yellow colour. Colour with Archival inks. Stamp the leaves in Library green ink. Colour the leaves. Cut the flowers and leaves with matching die and give them shape in the 3D flower shaping mold for the wild rose flowers. Add stamens in the centre of the flowers.

Arrange the flowers and leaves on the card front.

Lacy Diamond Dies--New Release by Heartfelt Creations

Lacy intricate dies are always a delight to work with and this month Heartfelt creations has come up with. These nesting dies give a beautiful cut work lacy background for those perfect blooms. I loved the sheer elegance of these dies and happily share with you these regal beauties. Layering these dies perfectly create projects that are super gorgeous with a elegance and magnificence.

Here I have a simple card that highlights the beauty of both the fresh tulips and the elegant Lacy Diamond dies.

The finished card measures 7 inches by 5 inches. Cut white card stock to size 7 inches by 10 inches and score at 5 inches on the longer side. Fold to make the card base.

Cut pattern paper to cover the card front. This is the first mat layer and it is a little smaller than the card front.

Adhere  the paper. Cut the Intricate lace frame in white card stock and remove the inner part within the stitched lines  with  a paper cutter. Adhere on the mat layer with foam dots. Cut a pink colour paper from the paper collection to the size to fit the inside of the frame. Cut it as frame and adhere with foam dots on the intricate lace frame die cut.

Cut the gold mirror card stock using the diamond die. Cut an eyelet diamond die cut frame in white card stock. Distress the edges with green ink pad. Add the diamond frame on the gold die cut.
