Hello friends,
Today I bring to you something new or rather something that has been on my mind for quite some time. I have always seen triple time stamping cards on the net and I love the layering in them . I often wondered why cannot we do the same with die cuts. Also , the various stacker dies in the Cheery Lynn designs made my task simpler. For this card here, I have used the same method or technique that you do for triple time stamping. Only that I have used die cuts instead of stamps. It required a great deal of careful assembling and cutting but the end result is good. What do you say ?? And after the final touch was over, the pattern looked like a printed paper. So just hop on to the store and look at the various stacker dies and you will get and idea how the whole thing will work out.

Dies used

XM Scalloped Coved Rectangle - XM-11

Coved Rectangle - XM-10

The season is Easter time and that is the challenge this week at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog. So do share your work and win some awesome prize. See you next week. Good day !!!

Hello friends,
I'm so sorry for not sharing my post with you last wednesday as my Father -in-law had expired and I was in state of shock and grief. He was very dear to me and I'm still at loss of words. But responsibilties is really something that I cannot forgo so here I am with my post where I share a card with doilies. Cheery Lynn designs has some  amazing doily dies and I really love each one of them.
For this card, I have cut three panels measuring 2.5 inches by 5.75 white cardstock and rounded of the two opposite corners from the top and bottom panel. Then using the Italian Flourish Doily as a stencil , I inked some distress inks on the three panels creating a backing for the doily. Then I have cut three doilies in shade of deep pink, orange and yellow, cut them in half and placed over the inked image of the doily. The flowers are handmade and the stamp is from Justrite.

The list of Supplies
Lilith Doily W/Angel wing DL 263
Italian Flourish Doily-DL 103
Judy's Bloom -C184
Distress inks-fired brick, spiced marmalade, wild honey

The challenge this week at the Cheery Lynn designs blog is Doilies. So do share your entries to win an awesome prize.

Hello to all,
It's Wednesday today and that means it is Cheery Lynn time. Today I bring to you a favourite card shape that I make quite often ...Stepper card. I love this shape as it gives me enough scope to incorporate various layers at different level giving it a 3D look. Plus , since there are no cuts et, in this card, I can make this in any measurements without racking my brains as to how to adjust measurements. I have used a beautiful doily -Sophia's Heart and on that I have made daisies made from the Daisy strip die . The paper is from stash and I have scored thin lines on it on my scoreboard and distressed it with Brushed corduroy distress ink to add some texture. The rest of the materials used are listed below.

The materials used are as follows

Sophia's Heart Doily-DL184
Dancing Doily Lace Border DL 134
Daisy strip B259
Rose leaf strip B241
Leaves from Build a Flower#3=B264
Miniature Rose B152

Do check the challenge at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog--It is all about Shaped card i.e you have to share a card that is of any shape other than a sqaure. There is fabulous shopping spree of 20$ as prize. Plus we have a DT call going on. So do try your luck.

Dear Friends !!!! Its Anita here with my weekly wednesday post. The season of love is now in full bloom and everyone is going valentine crazy!!! So keeping in tune with the mood, here is a card that I made with lovely flowers and valentine dies , all available with the Cheery Lynn Designs. I have used lots of layers for my card and have given it a very lacey background. The Be My Valentine die cut has been made to sparkle using the Wink of Stella clear glitter pen and then more glittery using rangers clear stickles. The flowers are made using the Gardenia strip die . I applied a little yellow distress ink in the center of each flower die,  put three gardenia full flower die cuts together, secured it with a brad and sprayed some water. Then, I brought together the petals crushing them a little.  After it dries, the die cuts are opened gently, the brad is removed and the the three layers are assembled again with pollens in center taking care to offset the petals between each layer. The complete list of dies is given below.

The List of Dies

A2 Frames Rectangular Classic (Set of 7) - CM5

The new challenge is Tickled pink.  So just stop by the blog to share your entires. Till then have a nice day !!!

Hello dear friends !!!!

Hope you all are fine. Its Anita here with a very special card for you in the Valentine month. Yes !!! February being the valentine month, I have made an Easel card and used lots of dies to give it very intricate look. Plus I have used my favourite Magnolia tilda stamps.
Another feature that I want to highlight here, is the way I have used the dies by some fussy cutting. For ex. The base of the card has the Anastasia border die. After cutting the die, I got not one but two edgers and both can be used beautifully. Here is the picture of the die after being cut.

Again, I have done fussy cutting on the doily die and used it as an ornate label. I have cut the top and bottom of the lords-commons-doily-set-of-2 and cut along the straight at the top and bottom. Then, I used a small rectangular piece with sentiment and sandwiched between the two. So here you have a beautiful tag.

Then for the flourish, I have again cut the fanciful flourish into many parts and used it at the base.
So after having a good look at your die, one can give it a new look by some cutting.
Now to my card. I love making such cards. They make me happy.

Hello dear friends !!!!
A warm hug to you and here is my wednesday post for all of you. I have brought for you a Thank You card made with the January New Release dies. You must browse through this section to see what a wonderful collection we have here , especially for the valentine season. My card measures 6.5inches by 6.5 inches and i have given it a raised textured look using the French Lattice large frame die. I cut out the diecut in my die cutting machine and before loosening the square bits , I applied small foam tape pieces behind them. I removed the backing from the tape and then laid my die cut frame on the card stock , carefully lifting the border. The pieces that had tape at the back got adhered to the card. I used the die cut for adding another layer on the side as seen in the card. So you can cleverly use every bit of the die cut with just careful layering.
The flowers are made with Judy's bloom flower die. And the butterfly is so delicate and lacely, used from the new release. The border around the french lattice frame is another rectangular die, which is compatible with most of the frames and doilies. The rest of the supplies is listed below.

List of  Dies used.

A2 Frames Rectangular Classic (Set of 7) - CM5

Mayan Butterfly w/ Angel Wing - B533

Hi all!!!!

Autumn is its best in some parts while winter is setting its feet in some parts of the world. We are still basking in the glory of bright autumn colours. I just love these rich shades and the the sound of dry leaves that appear to be like music. Nature is so beautiful in Autumn. So here I bring today not one but two cards featuring the colours of Autumn. Two because .... I have used the same die in two ways and I wanted to show you how a negative of a die can be used as a stencil to make amazing backgrounds. This happened when , I just could not find the right shade of patterned paper for my card and then , this idea came in.
For the first card, I have cut the leaves and then distressed it with peeled paint, gathered twigs and rusty hinge. Then I applied mod podge dimentional magic and covered it with Rangers distress glitter all over it and left it to dry for a few hours. Then I put it on the card using the foam tape to give a pop up effect. Did you see the glittery shine on the leaves. I think they look so beautiful.

For this card, I simply used the negative of the dimensional leaf above and used it as stencil  and coloured with distress inks. Then I stamped with Hero arts script texture stamp and an Impression Obsession stamp to create this background. The rest is simple.

List of Supplies

Distress inks-Peeled paint, Rusty hinge, Gathered Twigs
Mod podge dimentional magic
Rangers dsitress glitter
stamps.-Hero arts, Impression obsession
So I hope my shades of Autumn will inspire you all to make your projects. Do submit them to the Cheery Lynn Challenge -AUTUMN COLOURS and win for your self some amazing prizes. Do stop by and leave a few words. Thanks for being there !!!!

Hello to all!!!!
Can you fill the chill in the air????? I know down there in the west , it must have become very cold but here in the India, the winters is just a few days away, but the chill can be felt in the air and I love this weather. More so because, it brings the festivities and the wedding season in India. Winter weddings are great events here. So I bring to you a wedding card featuring the new release die-I DO.....Now you must be wondering whats so new about it. Its very similar to our popular wedding vows die!!! But here lies the difference !!! If you look closely, this die just has the couple...nothing intricate around it, but the hair and the dress of the bride and the groom has all the delicate cuts to give to that beautiful look.

And the card that I have made is a stepper card. This is a great fold to add dimensions to a card. I have cut the I do die in white card stock, distressed it with worn lipstick distress stain and then applied some glossy accents followed by rangers clear rock candy glitter. Can you the shine!!!
The flowers are made from the Gardenia strip and daissy strip and coloured with copics. The leaves are from Rose leaf Strip and distressed.

I hope you like this card !!!!have checked the new realease October dies. They are all fabulous. So hop on to the store to check them out.

Happy Halloween

HELLO !!!!
A very very haunting happy halloween to all of you. The concept of Halloween is very new to me as in India this is not very popular but I browsed through the net and saw all those scary cards with ghosts and and just had the most amusing card. So in a way, this is my first halloween card and I hope I have done the right job.
In this card, I have created the background with spider webs and masking and stamping. The die cuts are theme based and yes  !!! the look so spooky !!! I simply love dthe little owl in the top left corner. Isn't he sweet and that crow in that twiggy wreath. !!!! These dies are just awesome. But my job is incomplete without flowers so I just added a few orange toned flowers made from the Baby breath die. I do hope it is apt for halloween.

List of supplies
inks-mustard seeds, ripe persimmon, black soot and vintage photo

The background pattern paper has been created with multiple stamping. The flowers are made from the daisy strip and the chrysanthemum strip . All the flowers and leaves have been coloured with copic markers.
